Colin is a professional artist working in oils from
his home studio at Christchurch, Dorset, England, producing paintings of Wildlife, Landscape, Equestrian, Still life
and Marine subjects. His first job after leaving school was working in a boat yard ,then as a poster writer and
sign writer including illustration work for cinemas etc. A redundancy payment enabled him to turn his appreciation
of fine art into a career. Since then he has been elected a full member of The Royal Miniature Society.
He has exhibited and sold paintings with the Royal Society of Marine Artists, The National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, Liverpool,
The Marwell International Wildlife Art Society, Not the Turner Prize in the Mall Galleries, The World Exhibition of
Fine Art, Smithsonian Gallery, Washington, D.C. and has had exhibitions at the Peter Hedley Galleries, Wareham.
Colin has sold pictures and won awards with the Royal Miniature Society at the Mall Galleries and Westminster Hall, London,
The Hilliard Society, The Llewellyn Alexander Galleries, London, The Laing Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, The Landscape
Painters of the Isle of Wight Exhibition. At the time of writing Colin is working on a collection of
wildlife paintings including elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, cape buffalo, bateleur eagle, lilac breasted roller, white rhino ,using reference gathered
on a camping safari travelling through northern Botswana, including the Moremi game reserve and Savute in the Chobe national
park travelling by boat on the Chobe river and through the Okavango delta.
